N-Acetyl-L-cysteine (N-Acetyl-L-cysteine) is an organic substance with a molecular formula of C5H9NO3S. It is a white crystalline powder with a garlic-like odor, sour taste and hygroscopicity.
 

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) is a potent antioxidant derived from naturally occurring amino acids. While n-acetyl l-cysteine nac is commonly used by doctors to treat people who have overdone acetaminophen (paracetamol, Tylenol), supplementation with n-acetyl l-cysteine nac and/or its precursor glutathione may have other health benefits. A specific area of interest for researchers is the effect of n-acetyl l-cysteine nac on the immune system.
When n-acetyl l-cysteine nac is ingested, the body converts the more stable n-acetyl l-cysteine nac into the less stable glutathione, which contains three amino acids: glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. Glutathione is naturally present in humans, animals, plants and fungi and helps protect cells from oxidative damage. In addition, glutathione helps the body "recycle" vitamins E and C. Studies have shown that higher glutathione levels are associated with a lower risk of disease in people, especially older adults.

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine is recommended to store it in a cool, dry place, sealed from outside air. We ship the product in a double sealed bag which can be resealed. Another container is recommended sealing from outside air.
