Product Description
Sodium stearate is a white oily powder with greasy feeling and fat smell. Soluble in hot water or hot alcohol. The aqueous solution is alkaline due to hydrolysis, and the alcohol solution is neutral. It is prepared by the interaction of octadecanoic acid It is used in the manufacture of toothpaste. It is also used as waterproof agent and plastic stabilizer.
